OSSCA Members,
The OSSCA is going to have to cancel the state coach's clinic that was scheduled for June 11 & 12, 2016. We decided to cancel the clinic due low registration numbers. The goal of the OSSCA is to provide an educational component to all our members. Two years ago we decided to take over the clinic after our former host canceled it. We polled our membership through the OHSAA and received tremendous feedback that a clinic in the summer would be a good thing. Last year was our first effort for a clinic and we had close to 70 coaches in attendance. The district president's started to promote the clinic in March this year and we even offered a discount for those that registered early but our current registration is almost half of what attended last year. We had arranged a great group of clinicians featuring Schellas Hyndman current coach at Grand Canyon University and a former MLS coach, along with several other college coaches. As president of the OSSCA, I need to make sure we are being responsible financially and to host a clinic with the current numbers is not being fiscally responsible. We will take a look at how we can increase attendance for the clinic, but we need your input. Please email me with any suggestions at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or email our Executive Director Gary Avedikian at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . If you registered for the clinic you will receive a refund soon.
Sincerely,
John Johnson
OSSCA, President
